My name is Lani, I'm a first time mom. For the first 18 months I have had the privilege of being a stay at home mom to my incredible son ~B~, born in May of 2010. This truly has been the most amazing experience of my life. I love how he has changed my world in ways I never thought possible.
I have recently gone back to work part time as a Dental Hygienist. I also have a background in Early Childhood Education. I worked exclusively in the field of pediatric dentistry for the first 5 years of my career, then expand to both general and pediatric dentistry.
I am enthusiastic about; breastfeeding, babywearing, baby signing, and in general attachment parenting style. I don't like labels, I would just say that I try to do things a natural as possible. I am also passionate about; natural
birth (despite not being able to have one), exclusive and extended breastfeeding, baby lead weaning and feeding, genital integrity, and trying to
“go green” as much as possible.
I also love photography and up-cycling furniture. I enjoying sewing and love a good book. I am working on becoming a minimalist and want to simplify my life in general. I started this bog because I feel strongly that women should support each other especially when it comes to breastfeeding, birth and parenting.
